Abstract: The times when it was sufficient to pour out the marketing content like in a watering can principle over the customer are already a long time over. In a market of countless offers and information, people's purchasing behaviour has changed significantly. The retail business has to respond and to provide the customer with a shopping experience - through personalization and individualization. Many marketing areas can already be supported by artificial intelligence. Especially in the e-commerce sector, the provision of behavior-based search and content pages is essential. As a result, it is becoming increasingly important for retailers to provide content that matches the needs of individual customers. The multi-optional shopper no longer differentiates between different shopping channels. Long ago online and offline touchpoints merged into a reality. On the customer side, it is expected that product recommendations will be placed at the disposal of customers in real time at any time and at any contact point. This means deploying AI solutions to enable rule-based personalization. In addition, a trend is developing: Online Research - Offline Purchase! This exciting development of rapid digitization is a great opportunity for the retail industry. As the number of customers grows, it becomes more and more likely to to deliver suitable messages at the right time via the relevant channel.
