Xovis offers the most complete portfolio of Xovis 3D Sensors to solve people counting and tracking challenges.
As explained in the Products and Technology sections, Xovis 3D Sensors capture the covered area in a similar way to the human eye and enable system integrators around the globe to provide system integrators in the retail and other industries with the most accurate footfall data – the cornerstone of retail analytics. By counting and tracking customers, the overhead Xovis people traffic counters deliver fundamental real-time data such as:

Number of entering and exiting customers as well as people passing by
People traffic peak hours
Direction from where most people access the area covered by Xovis 3D Sensors
Percentage of adults vs. percentage of children
Zones with the shortest and longest dwell times; i.e. hot and cold spots
 

System integrators use the data measured with Xovis to calculate additional KPIs, such as conversion rates to support their customers in streamlining various processes. For example, retailers are able to adjust store layouts, evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives, and optimize staff planning and product placement based on precise real-time data.

Xovis 3D Sensors feature a counting accuracy of 99% and recognize people individually even if they are standing shoulder to shoulder. Depending on the installation height between 2.2 m and 20 m (7 ft and 66 ft), a single sensor covers up to 100 m2 (1,100 ft2) of counting and tracking area. Each sensor includes a sophisticated data privacy concept and allows up to 99 counting lines and zones. Large area counting & tracking

With the ability to connect various sensors in a Multisensor Xovis opens the door to people counting and tracking through large areas.
With its easy configuration, the Xovis Multisensor links together up to nine Xovis 3D Sensors and depicts the covered area in one continuous image. This unique capability facilitates precise people counting at wide entry and exit doors, where a single sensor cannot cover the whole area. As the connected sensors seamlessly hand over the data to each other, system integrators and retailers can track customers through large areas.

The Xovis Multisensor offers the same insights as a single Xovis people counting sensor in terms of KPIs related to people counting and dwell time measurement – but for a larger area. System integrators and retailers get a clear picture of how customers access and leave the tracking area, in which parts they spend the most time and when peak hours occur.

Every Xovis 3D Sensor can act as “master sensor” and connect to eight ‘slave’ sensors; no additional hardware or software components are needed. The Xovis Multisensor is able to combine different sensor models and installation heights. For continuous counting and tracking applications that are very complex or require more than nine sensors, the Xovis SPIDER is able to link up a very large number of sensors. In combination with AI-powered Xovis 3D Sensors, the new processing unit features full area tracking and takes in-store analytics to a new level.
