Flooring made of German Douglas fir. Our solid and engineered floorboards in room- & random lengths create a warm and cozy atmosphere. They can be treated with different oils and also “white washed” with Lye & white Soap, which ensures a Scandinavian atmosphere. With up to 120 years of age, the trees we use for our flooring, are sourced in sustainably managed forests in Southern Germany. They are sawn, Kiln dried and afterwards crafted into floorboards with Tongue & Groove. Our team of craftsmen want to make sure that all our costumers receive the highest quality flooring, that will last for many decades.
Solid and engineered planks made of Ash wood are a beautiful and affordable alternative to Oak plank flooring. The occuring brown core turns the originally white colours into a fascinating mix of darker and lighter colors.
The trees can reach an age of up to 200 years, before they are cut, sawn and dried on the air. Once the order comes in, the boards get Kiln dried, planed and sanded. Knots and other faults are mended by hand. Real craftsmanship and premium wood are what define our flooring products.
The vertical grain decking floorboards are quarter sawn so that the year-rings run in a 40- 90° angle to the board surface. This straight pattern provides an amazingly minimalist design. Wood is anisotropic, which means that its characteristics are directionally dependent. In the case of quarter sawn timber the anisotropy is particularly beneficial for the durability and stability of the floorboards , due to the vertical grain pattern. That way also, the chance of splinters is highly reduced.
