Mobile all in one ticketing device / POS

E-Ticketing goes mobile
Your passengers can get comfortable. With the new 2 terminal you can reach your customers.

The new POS is the all-rounder to take with you: Ticket sales, inspection of E-Tickets and paper tickets, catering, cash-free payments, route information, wireless communication as well as immediate receipt print – the new POS can do all of that and is still only as big as a portable computer in tablet format.

And it is also so easy to operate. All of the required hardware is integrated in a robust and light magnesium housing: Scanner, a printer with a wide printing range and a card reader – optionally contact, contactless or for magnetic stripes.

Dependable, user-friendly, rugged
The metric.station is the reliable, fixed automatic ticket machine for customer-friendly sales at stations, bus stops and in customer centres.

The metric.station is extremely easy for passengers to operate: all its elements are arranged in accordance with the TSI standard. In this way the metric.station meets one of the more important criteria for accessible access to public transport. Thanks to our universal design initiative the metric.station is so versatile that it can provide the best possible access to local public transport networks to people with varying capabilities in different situations, all without any additional engineering or adjustments. METRIC has developed a four-corners menu for the touch screen, and this enables passengers to purchase the ticket they want with a single keypress. Here METRIC has once again used its great capacity for innovation to set standards for the local public transport sector.

With an metric.station you will be investing in the future! Whether VDV-KA, ITSO, Calypso or ACS – the METRIC Smart Card Scheme – this automatic ticket machine can process all the current standards, thereby securing for itself a long period of useful service. The unit also offers the option of upgrading with an E-Ticket reader, an E-Ticket printer and a 2D barcode reader.

Megatrend mobility
The ALMEX GmbH is a leading solution and service partner in the field of systems for recording, validating and processing data. The technology company automates processes and ensures enhanced efficiency of transporting passengers, goods and services in the sectors of trade & logistics, railway & cargo and parking & public transport. In doing so, ALMEX focuses on the global megatrend of mobility. The company has its headquarters in Hannover, Germany.

In the field of research and development, the EU Industrial R&D Investment Scoreboard rates ALMEX as one of the leading European enterprises. The company is a well-known manufacturer of ticketing systems, mobile data capture systems, and car park terminals. During its corporate history extending over more than 35 years, ALMEX has developed into an international SME.

Impressive track record
Established in 1978 as a start-up by two students, the company focused on the emerging trend towards mobile data capture right from the outset. They soon became the market leader in Germany's retail food sector. In the mid-1990s, the company branched out into mobile recording, inspection and processing of public transport tickets. ALMEX developed the first mobile ticket terminal deployed by DB (Deutsche Bahn / German Rail), setting the standards for the competition. Towards the late 1990s, ticket vending machines and car park terminals were added to the portfolio. The company also gained a reputation as a developer of specialised systems to meet customers’ specifications.

In the course of its 35-year corporate history, the ALMEX GmbH has delivered around 300,000 mobile data capture and processing terminals and well over 100,000 ticket vending machines and car park terminals. These figures highlight the company’s proven expertise and experience. Many customers have been relying on ALMEX solutions for a long time. The range of solutions developed in-house includes large and complex installations such as the ticketing system operated by the FirstGroup in the UK, the mobile solution for Swiss Post, the stationary ticket vending system of DB (Deutsche Bahn / German Rail), and the car park solution installed in Philadelphia in the United States.
