In 1999, David and Oliver Gabison, ready-to-wear manufacturers in the USA stumble upon the Steamer, a vertical pressing tool.
This entertaining and effective tool was invented by the Americans in 1950 and is since in use amongst the American textile manufacturers.
For over 8 years now, SteamOne offers a wide line of steamers. Unlike ordinary irons, the SteamOne steamers do not leave shiny marks on natural or synthetic fabrics and do not burn the fibres. Its steam nozzle ensures a pressing without condensation. The SteamOne steamers are so versatile that they can be used for multiple purposes: ready to wear (retail, wholesalers, manufacturers, fashion shows), upholstery (curtains, draperies, drapes), hotel and restaurants (tablecloth, linen, sheets, towels), custom rentals…
Upon coming back in France in 2003, they launch a ready-to-wear brand and import the steamer as it is required for their activities.
Since everyone around them showed quite an interest to the device, they founded SteamOne, the first European steamer manufacturer.
36,000 SteamOne appliances have been sold all across Europe by 2013. The biggest ready to wear brands are equipped with SteamOne steamers.
