"We know the markets and we know the high demands that they make. We have the right people to satisfy these requirements and we supply ideal solutions – anywhere in the world!" Robert Vuga, Head of Melamine Sales
Melamine film is printed decor paper impregnated with melamine resin. The product is used for decorative surface coating in the furniture and flooring industry. Impregnation with melamine resin is one of the most common means of decor paper finishing in the world.
Our customers use melamine film to produce a heavy-duty surface for furniture, worktops, interior fittings and floorings. In the respective lamination process, the film is irreversibly fused to the substrate, resulting in a highly resistant finish.
Foil meets the wish for decors offering an authentic look and textural realism.
"The replications have become so good that even experts find it hard to tell veneer and foil apart." Klaus Müller, Head of Foil Sales
Schattdecor´s new foil surfaces are an effective way of creating durable furniture surfaces with a realistic look and feel. The substrates, adhesive systems and coating techniques involved vary according to foil type.
"We produce decor paper, which is incorporated by our customers all over the world into furniture, flooring and interior surfaces. " Roland Auer, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer
Decor paper printing is a particular form of rotogravure printing in which printing ink (extremely lightfast in Schattdecor's case) is applied to base paper with the help of rotating gravure cylinders. The result – decor paper – is delivered to wood-based panel manufacturers, which use it for surface embellishment of their products. Produced in woodgrain, stone and fantasy designs, our decor paper finds use in this way on furniture and flooring surfaces as well as interior installations.
Today decors are no longer seen as reproductions or imitations, but as originals in their own right.
