- The concealed RFID reader that combines excellent detection performance with the smallest possible impact on the store’s design -
THE GOOD LOOKING SOLUTION FOR LOSS PREVENTION To meet the needs and standards of today’s store design, we have developed a concealed, ceiling-mounted EAS solution that reduces shrinkage, improves product availability and can also cover wide entrances. This makes it the ideal electronic article surveillance solution for retail stores.
NO LOSS OF SELLING SPACE The ceiling-mounted RFID reader takes up no selling space in the store and makes it possible to have completely open entrances where products are enhanced by a bright and open environment.
ELIMINATING FALSE ALARMS The concealed RFID reader offers significant advantages such as the possibility to determine whether a product is leaving the store, entering the store or if it is just a stationary item, thereby reducing false alarms drastically.
FUTURE READY SOLUTION No matter whether RFID-based EAS is the first or final part of your RFID roll-out, with the !D Top, you have a scalable, future-proof solution to permanently reduce the losses in your stores.
Intelligent article surveillance Today’s global trend of connecting all devices to the internet inspired Nedap to completely redefine the way electronic article surveillance (EAS) works today. The result is !Sense - an intelligent article surveillance system that offers immense benefits compared to traditional EAS systems. Intelligent article surveillance enables retailers to reliably prevent losses, fully embed article surveillance into the existing security IP network and gather actionable data directly from all stores, around the world, 24/7.
Next generation article surveillance Smart sensors Real-time actionable data Future-proof & plug-and-play RFID-ready Remote feature updates
Smart integrated sensors !Sense collects RF and RFID alarm, booster bag and customer counting data. The different smart sensors are fully integrated in the design, keeping the entrance to your store open and attractive. The sensors for RFID alarms, booster bag detection and visitor counting can be added right away or later on. For additional promotion, you can also add poster panels to invite passers-by to come into your stores and start shopping.
Real-time insight & control All !Sense gates can be connected to each other and to the Internet. Now you can simply connect the !Sense system also to other devices like CCTV camera’s or your enterprise security platform. The connectivity enables you to gain real-time insights into potential security risks and the system performance. With in-store and organization-wide dashboards, your staff can easily take the right actions to permanently prevent losses and raise the profit levels in all stores.
360° article surveillance with RFID Monitor your products with RFID from the moment they get delivered to your store, all the way through the stock room, sales floor, fitting room and finally as a sold (or unsold) item leaving your store. You have full transparency over shrinkage; where it occurs and when it occurs.
The i45 !Sense gate is ready for RFID whenever you are. So whenever you want to start using RFID to benefit from 360° article surveillance, you can easily switch from RF to RFID. Upgrades are fast, hassle-free and low-cost as the existing gates can stay in place. That makes !Sense a scalable, future-proof solution to permanently prevent losses in your stores.
Always-on systems The !Sense gates are monitored, updated and serviced remotely - ensuring the highest system uptime in the market and the industry leading protection for your merchandise. If something prevents them from performing at their best, the system informs Nedap or your in-house monitoring station automatically and we are able to fix it remotely. Thereby, service costs are reduced drastically and you optimally benefit from your article surveillance solution working at the same standard year on year.
Merchandise simply available Cloud-based RFID solution
“Ready to sell” with RFID Making sure that a product is available for your customer is crucial these days. Customers are more demanding than ever, both in brick and mortar stores and online. However, merchandise availability should not result in overstocked stores and the associated high capital cost. That is why accurate stock information at any time is the key.
RFID technology makes it possible to highly automate your in-store stock management - resulting in optimal merchandise availability for your customers and an in-store stock accuracy of over 98%. Incorrect shipments, administrative errors and faulty ERP data that lead to unpleasant out-of-stock situations are finally a thing of the past. To achieve this, Nedap offers a cloud-based solution that enables retailers to significantly improve their on-shelf merchandise availability without major investments or changes to their existing IT infrastructure.
Optimize your in-store stock accuracy with: State-of-the-art RFID handheld readers Simple-to-use App design for store staff Cloud-based software for real-time stock insight
Merchandise simply available Taking inventory fast, often and accurately enables you to gain an understanding of your actual stock. Thereby, any empty shelves can be replenished and any causes of stock differences, through losses or administrative errors, can be identified and dealt with more quickly.
!D Cloud, Nedap’s cloud-based RFID software platform, is specifically developed for retail applications, enabling retailers to quickly improve their in-store stock accuracy to over 98%. As no expensive software integration with existing POS and ERP systems is required, you can start fast and benefit immediately.
Start in one store and quickly roll out to hundreds: !D Cloud is uniquely scalable to accommodate the fastest implementation plan in the industry; weeks, not months or years.
High stock accuracy = sales uplift Real-time insight into actual stock levels in the store enables retailers to significantly improve the speed and quality of their in-store and DC-to-store replenishment. As the right products are delivered to each store and empty shelves can be replenished faster, retailers can prevent out-of-stocks and uplift sales. The solution is implemented extremely fast and enables you to benefit from day one with a very user-friendly workflow of three steps.
Retailer rolls out RFID to 280 stores after achieving sales increase in first stores
UK-based fashion retailer River Island has selected Nedap for the international roll-out of RFID hard- and software in 280 stores. The roll-out will be completed within a period of only 7 months as there is no need for time consuming IT integrations. In this large-scale project, Nedap will be the main contractor responsible for delivering the cloud based software !D Cloud and RFID handheld readers as well as ensuring the quality of the RFID labels on the merchandise.
To prove the business case, River Island first initiated a pilot, which demonstrated that !D Cloud enables a significant increase in stock accuracy and, as a result, an increase in sales due to improved product availability. Jon Wright, Head of Global Loss Prevention & Safety at River Island, explains: “Initially, our total stock accuracy was not where we needed it to be. Upon implementing and trialing !D Cloud, accuracy was raised to 97% for all stores within two weeks and has remained consistent week after week. And even more important, that has achieved us a significant sales increase across all our pilot stores.”
RFID as the omnichannel enabler “In a world of omnichannel, product availability is king. Therefore, accurate stock data is vital for us to successfully offer omnichannel services to our customers. We are impressed with how advanced !D Cloud is, yet how little IT effort it takes to implement it, which makes adopting RFID extremely easy. This enables us to focus on the most important part right from the start – raising the stock accuracy in all our stores and gaining full control over our inventory through item-level visibility,” commented Jon Wright.
Using RFID, River Island is aiming to significantly raise their in-store stock accuracy which can enable efficient omnichannel services like ship-from-store, Buy Online Return In Store and Buy Online Pickup In Store.
Rob Schuurman, Managing Director at Nedap Retail, added: “We are incredibly proud to be able to announce that River Island sets of their RFID journey with us. The full roll-out to 280 stores will be completed within 7 months. This shows how !D Cloud perfectly fits the retail sector’s requirements. The solution is native cloud-based which makes it extremely future-proof, as new features become available continuously. Moreover there is no need for costly and complex software integrations or servers in each store location. This makes it possible to quickly benefit from RFID with the least complexity and upfront investments."
Nedap won this year’s the award for “Most innovative cross-functional product” with the !D Cloud solution. The award ceremony took place on the evening of Retail Risk – Leicester. The Fraud Awards showcase and celebrate the very best in retail fraud and loss prevention, people, processes, strategy and technology.
“We are extremely proud that !D Cloud is recognized as this year’s most innovative cross-functional product. As the introduction of RFID touches on so many different departments within a retail organization, we continuously challenge ourselves to make it simple for the retailer. Therefore, !D Cloud takes a different approach to using RFID in retail stores as it does not require integration with existing IT systems and adapts extremely well to existing processes,” commented Rob Schuurman, Managing Director at Nedap Retail.
