“Retail+ DUS”: New association with showroom for retail technologies in Düsseldorf

When I sat at the table on February 3, 2025 at the founding of the association Retail+ DUS e. V. in Düsseldorf, it was immediately clear to me that this project fits perfectly with our mission to make future-oriented technologies in the retail sector visible and tangible. I am all the more pleased that we as Messe Düsseldorf, together with strong partners from the business, retail sector and the city, are now creating a unique place to experience retail innovation.

With the new showroom, which is being built in the trade association building on Kaiserstrasse, we are creating a place for practical exchange: on around 100 square meters, intelligent shelves or service robots for the (retail) food service industry can be experienced – technologies for automation and AI solutions that are transforming the retail sector today.

As the organizer of the leading trade fairs EuroShop and EuroCIS, I was personally keen to support this project from the very beginning. After all, innovation and the economic success of an industry require continuous exchange, local networking and the courage to break new ground. “Retail+ DUS” will provide exactly that: a permanent stage for retail innovation in the heart of Düsseldorf.

EuroShop – World's No 1 Retail Trade Fair will open its doors from February 22 to 26, 2026. In seven dimensions  – Shop Fitting, Store Design & Visual Merchandising · Lighting · EuroCIS (Retail Technology) · Retail Marketing · Expo & Event Marketing · Food Service Equipment · Refrigeration & Energy Management – EuroShop offers concentrated solutions for all challenges in the retail sector. Within EuroShop, the EuroCIS – Retail Technology dimension will be the central stage for digital innovations, smart solutions and connected technologies in retail.

In the following year, EuroCIS will take place as an independent trade fair as usual: From February 16 to 18, 2027, the whole of Düsseldorf will once again be dedicated to retail technology.
