EuroShop.mag articles on Retail Technology

The editorial contributions of the dimension Retail Technology show how technologies create added value for the retail sector – in the store, in the warehouse, in e-commerce and along the entire value chain.

The focus is on technological applications and digital tools that address challenges in brick-and-mortar and online retail – from omnichannel integration and digital services to in-store analytics and supply chain management solutions. Technologies such as self-checkout, modern payment solutions, smart store concepts, smart vending and robotics enable new forms of shopping from hybrid store models to completely staff-free sales.

The increasing connectivity of stores, devices and processes – for example through IoT, RFID and sensor technology – forms the backbone of modern retail concepts and enables seamless, data-driven management. At the same time, security solutions such as cybersecurity, computer vision, electronic article surveillance and smart monitoring systems are becoming increasingly important in order to reliably protect these connected structures and prevent losses.
