Coach’s new Salt Lake City store features fully circular surfacing

With slow furniture and fashion movements top of mind now more than ever, leading sustainable materials manufacturer, The Good Plastic Company, shares a case study embodying mindful luxury. International fashion and accessories house Coach’s reopened storefront in Salt Lake City, designed by YourStudio, is outfitted with The Good Plastic Company’s revolutionary Polygood material, 100% recycled and recyclable plastic panels made from post-consumer and post-industrial waste.

High design meets sustainability in this next-generation store with the White Lollipop Polygood pattern forming cabinetry, trays to showcase luxury leather goods, and display pedestals of all shapes and sizes. The storefront sets a new standard for sustainable luxury retail design, delivering eye-catching style and conveying Coach’s commitment to environmental responsibility.

This project marks another milestone in The Good Plastic Company’s partnership with Coach, following a successful collaboration in Fall 2021, when the brand incorporated Polygood handles into the design of their signature Rogue 25 handbags.

The use of Polygood represents another significant stride towards sustainability for Coach. Notable pieces in their collection, such as the Recycled Tote 30, feature fabric crafted from recycled plastic bottles, demonstrating Coach’s dedication to eco-friendly resources. Their leather products utilize scraps from past collections and leather by-products from the food industry, ensuring a circular approach to luxury fashion.
