The art event "Light Art goes Retail", a collaboration between academic artist Udo Sander, Messe Düsseldorf and elan Beleuchtungs- und Elektroanlagen GmbH, dares to combine art staging, light show, and store design and is right on trend.
Products and merchandise become more attractive if they are connected with emotion and a way of life. That’s why people do their best to stir things up, to shock, perform and stage things on social media sites. So why would you not expand the arts and let the retail sector share in the power of the panopticon?
That means, in the event context, Udo Sander’s delicate wire sculptures take the shape of wire mannequins that become abstract, elegant models of luxury clothing, his nature / bird designs set the hearts of any safari fan or hunting enthusiast aflutter, and drawings and paintings rich in content create store galleries.
Scenic lighting and culinary delights provide the backdrop for a visitor surprise that includes program highlights in the retail area, as well as in the gallery, lounge and bar: wire mannequins are brought to life, colors illuminated and foodies pampered to be inspired by the many facets of shop fittings!
Synergies created between light, art, design, and retail take center stage in "Light Art goes Retail": We are breaking new ground in event shopping. Art objects and products reciprocally elevate each other and create a unique spatial experience - an art concept store.
Art and interior design make brands tangible and communicate their values. They invite you to look, take pictures and share.
The possibilities of light and art objects are made tangible as part of the store design.
The inspiring exchange platform encourages conversation with the artist, with store designers, lighting designers, and architects.
A visually stunning backdrop creates memories and unique photo motifs.
Special and /or custom-made designs can be created and ordered as store components.
