TOMRA to unveil new reverse vending concepts and shopper research insights at EuroShop

TOMRA

Global reverse vending leader TOMRA is looking forward to meeting retailers again at EuroShop, showcasing the latest insights and technology for drink container recycling for stores.

“We strive to put recycling to work for retailers,” said Harald Henriksen, Head of TOMRA Collection. As the location where consumers both buy their drinks and return the containers for recycling, retailers are at the heart of Clean Loop Recycling and play the most visible and vital role in the process.”

Preview of reverse vending concepts: TOMRA will give a sneak peek at the next generation of its reverse vending innovations, redefining the experience for stores and end users. The concepts span TOMRA’s entire product portfolio, and include two front-end reverse vending machines, backroom storage, digital app, and service concepts. TOMRA has also launched new APIs for its TOMRA Collection Developer Portal, to help retailers integrate web services into their existing digital ecosystems.

Insights into consumer recycling behavior: TOMRA will release its latest consumer research, into European consumers’ shopping behaviors and preferences around drink container recycling. “How recycling habits impact shopping behavior: Consumer engagement with deposit return systems in Europe” found that consumers factor in a store’s reverse vending facilities when deciding where to return their empties. Pre-register to receive the report.

New deposit return systems: More regions are introducing deposit return systems (DRSs), legislating a deposit on drink containers to drive recycling and the circular economy. DRSs often require beverage retailers to be return locations for bottles and cans. Retailers can visit TOMRA to learn more about upcoming DRSs and role of retailers, see in person the range of retail equipment for automating container returns, and try reverse vending for themselves.

TOMRA talks the future of recycling: Throughout EuroShop, TOMRA will share industry insights through TOMRA Talks, a series of lightning talks on the future of reverse vending. These include presentations from the CEO of TOMRA, Head of TOMRA Collection, product managers and more. Topics include forging sustainable business through collaboration, deposit return systems, and digital solutions for reverse vending. See the full program.

And more: TOMRA will also have on display 3D-printed models of reverse vending products, plus solutions for small stores, high-volume backrooms, outdoor installations, and special integrations including solutions for cash payout.

Visit TOMRA at EuroShop in Hall 7A, booth B07. See euroshop.tomra.com, or to arrange a commercial or media meeting, contact media.collection@tomra.com
