Cologne/Dusseldorf, 25 February 2026 Since 2008, Messe Düsseldorf and EHI have been presenting the EuroShop RetailDesign Award to honour the world's best store concepts. This year, the jury selected winners in five categories: Food, Fashion & Lifestyle, Hospitality, Digital and Sustainability. A total of 122 applications were submitted from 30 countries. The winning stores stood out for interactive shopping experiences, pioneering sustainability solutions and exciting designs. They are located in Ukraine, Austria, Peru and Germany.
Food: Cyberculture Supermarket, Lviv - Retail design: Ochs Schmidhuber Architekten
The Cyberculture Supermarket in Lviv uniquely combines food retail with cyberculture and esports, creating an immersive shopping experience inspired by the Ukrainian e-sports team NAVI. With its futuristic design, interactive installations and advanced technology, the concept sets new standards for experiential food retail while celebrating national creativity and innovation.
Fashion & Lifestyle: House of Silhouette, Vienna - Retail Design: Ippolito Fleitz Group - Identity Architects
House of Silhouette in Vienna transforms eyewear retail into an immersive experience, combining a premium boutique with event and exhibition spaces. Flexible layouts, innovative materials and digital technologies create a highly personalized customer journey and turn the store into a dynamic stage for design, fashion and technology within a historic setting.

Digital: MediaMarkt Tech Village, Hamburg - Retail design: MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group
The MediaMarkt Tech Village in Hamburg redefines experiential electronics retail by combining shopping, gaming, services and community spaces into one interactive destination. Immersive digital installations, experience zones and omnichannel services create a forward-looking retail concept that seamlessly blends technology, entertainment and sustainability.
Sustainability: Intersport Finke, Bielefeld - Retail Design: Planning office Ulrich Bierwirth and Intersport Germany
The refurbished Intersport Finke + Fashion store in Bielefeld represents future-oriented sports retail, focusing on circular economy principles, material reuse and energy-efficient solutions. By combining sustainability, regional character and modern design, the store sets a strong example for environmentally responsible retail experiences.
