On March 1, 2003 the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences presented the Scientific and Engineering Award, to the Dedolight team for their work on the Dedolight 400D:

Dedo Weigert (concept)
Jin Depu (optical calculations) and
Franz Petters (mechanical construction).

This is the third time that Dedolight technology has been recognized.
