19.02.2008
Dusseldorf, February 2008. Experience today the reality of tomorrow. With its motto “The future of electronic payment. Now.” the easycash Group, Germany’s leading service provider for card-supported payment transactions*, will be presenting its range of services at EuroShop 2008, the world’s largest retail trade fair from 23rd to 27th February 2008. Stand G27 in Hall 6 will highlight modern card terminals and comprehensive payment services and technologies designed for the future. The newest part of the Group, easycash loyalty solutions, the customer loyalty specialist, will for the first time be demonstrating its wide range of card concepts and customer loyalty solutions to the audience of industry specialists in Dusseldorf.
Communication over two storeys
easycash sees EuroShop as an important information forum and platform for communicating with its partners and customers. This outlook is manifested in the twin-deck 100 m² large stand erected by the Ratingen payment service provider. There will be generously sized areas for meetings and personal discussions as well copious room for the demonstration of specific applications.
The demonstration component will feature easy signature, an electronic signature solution that also enables the paperless archiving of payment documentation. It represents the ideal enhancement to the easycash network operation. The process, developed in partnership with Xyzmo GmbH, not only reduces costs but also increases the security of payment procedures made as part of the easycash OLV® method. This sees signatures no longer recorded on conventional paper documentation but by using signature tablets instead. There is an optional function whereby the digital signature is authenticated using complex parameters. The benefits of this extremely secure method include the simplification of documentation handling, the optimization of cashing processes and a reduction in the consumption of paper.
The Fingerprint Biometry method demonstrated by easycash enables payments to be authorised by fingerprint. After the initial registration, the customer can make payments simply by using a fingerprint scanner. This works by detecting customers’ unique biometric data and sending this via the POS infrastructure to easycash for authorisation. The company then processes the transaction and initiates the payment procedure. easycash’s partner in this area is it-werke e.K.
In partnership with the specialist company valuephone, easycash will also be presenting an innovative, POS-orientated mobile payment solution, specifically designed for the requirements of the stationary retail outlet. This system enables end-customers to use their mobile phones to pay for their purchases quickly, comfortably and easily. This solution also provides other customer and retail-specific features such as couponing, shopping lists together with other useful features. The transmission of data between the checkout and the mobile phone is securely and rapidly executed using contactless NFC technology – protected by PIN as demanded by the customer. The particular attraction of this solution for the retailer is that it allows the entire payment infrastructure and accounting process to be operated as before. The only additional requirement is a NFC reader at the POS.
Together with POSPartner Gesellschaft für Kassensysteme mbH, easycash will be demonstrating its software terminal solution, POSCardZVT, which is bound to attract attention with its high-performance processing of card-based payment transactions. It enables processing times for ec cash transactions to be reduced by up to 80%.
Not content with that, the Ratingen company will be showing off yet another technological innovation at EuroShop with its contactless payment solutions for credit card companies (MasterCard Paypass, VISA Wave and American Express Pay express). This features a system that permits customers to make payments without entering a PIN or signature within a defined amount. It is not necessary, moreover, to swipe the card or insert it into a terminal. The system is particularly useful for allowing smaller amounts to be paid quickly and easily.
Visitors to the stand can test all of these systems to see for themselves the precise benefits of the various payment methods. Other highlights will include topics such as terminal security, payment services, scoring and the online payment system Paymaster.
* According to information from EHI Retail Institute 40% of all electronic payments were performed via easycash in 2006.
