Since the 1990s, heddier electronic GmbH is engaged in developing and manufacturing through-glass touch-sensors which make it possible to control multi-media presentations at shopping windows. The required presentation technology is located behind the store window within building while the operator can use the technology from the outside. As soon as the operator touches the glass, the information is immediately processed by the presentation technology.

A recurring problem are metallized windows which can be found in more and more stores due to saving measures relating to the reduction of energy consumption.

On the EuroShop 2008 (hall 5 E37), heddier electronic will show the world’s first though-glass touch-sensor that is able to permeate metallized windows up to 35 mm no matter whether it is single or double glazing.
