A new Home Meal Replacement option for Avery Berkel’s MP series counter scales will be shown for the first time at Euroshop 2002.

As demand for fresh, high quality HMR products grows, highest sales are being achieved through ‘Meal Deals’, combining main courses, side dishes and accompaniments. However, the need to offer a range of price combinations can make serving and selling the products correctly quite complex for counter assistants.

The MP’s new HMR function allows managers to program a range of fixed price meal deals onto the scale. Operators simply select the appropriate deal and are prompted through the options available. The system can also advise on related offers and issue vouchers to encourage incremental sales, or print bar coded labels and receipts with ingredient information and cooking instructions.
