With over 100 customers and partners from 26 different countries the European Partner Conference 2010 in Athens was a great success. In four days news, trends, projects and strategies around the Point of Sale were discussed and presented.
The program was divided into different topics like technology, hospitality, retail, payment, security and future to get a wide variety and provide the participants insights into different themes and businesses. Amongst speeches from well known companies about for example Price Checking, Cashless Payment, RFID implementation or Video Surveillance the Key note speaker Ulrich Spaan from the EHI talked about “POS trends in Retail – Vision and Reality”.
In the afternoon of the 1st day the delegates discussed and exchanged their ideas and opinions in smaller groups. Six workshops about AutoID, Active RFID, Future POS Design Technology/Housing as well as IT-Store Design in F&B and Couponing in Retail and Hospitality were provided. The results of these break-out sessions are quite efficient and interesting.
Besides many interesting conversations, presentations and work, networking and fun shouldn’t be missing. Therefore on the last day a guided tour to the Acropolis was on the program as well as relaxing on a sailing boat with snacks and drinks along the coast of Athens. As Partner Tech is celebrating its 20anniversary this year, there was the great jubilee on the last night. In an extraordinary event location, acrobats, a lazershow and traditional Bouzuki-players together with a greek dancing group entertained the guests. Four interesting and nice days ended with a firework in the garden.
PARTNER-TECH is looking forward to see all on the next conference in two years and thanks again for participating.
