Sharp XXL Displays ready for e-Signage

With 108 -inch screen diagonals, Sharp presents the world’s largest LCD monitor for e-Signage applications at EuroShop 2008

Hamburg, 22 January 2008 – With its presentation of the world’s largest LCD monitor for e-Signage applications at EuroShop 2008, Sharp makes it clear: posters were yesterday, e-Signage is today. The jump from static billboards to interactive large-scale displays with moving pictures opens up new possibilities for advertisement in public spaces, whether in department stores, shops, hotels, restaurants, airports, fairs or train stations. Sharp shows the opportunities offered by liquid crystal screens in Hall 6/ Stand H45. With screen diagonals from 46 to 108 inches, the e-Signage portfolio of these Japanese display specialists encompasses everything from pure LCD panels to finished monitors, for both horizontal and vertical mounting in full HD resolution. The company even offers small- format screens for shelf labelling applications. The 65-inch monitors are also available with touch-screen capabilities for interactive Signage applications. System integrators and operators will profit from Sharp’s range of e-Signage solutions that offers wide leeway for integrating information screens into custom interior space designs. Sharp’s LC screens are equipped for the special operating conditions of
e-Signage use, with a continuous operation capability of 50,000 hours.

Also to be seen at the stand are innovative graphic examples of liquid crystal displays in point-of-sale applications for the modern public address: customised, attention-grabbing, weekday- and time-of–day-specific, and even interactive if so desired.
