At EuroShop 2005 ten Russian companies will show their concentrated know-how on an area of 800 square meters
SHOP DESIGN RUSSIA 2004 closed its doors on 24 September 2004 with an even better result than that achieved by the debut event a year ago. It was the second time that Messe Düsseldorf together with its Russian partner EXPO-PARK had staged this international trade fair devoted to shopfittings and retail equipment at the EXPOCENTR / Krasnaya Presnya exhibition complex.
The organisers' verdict after the four-day fair was an extremely positive one, with 90% satisfaction among exhibitors and visitors as well as large numbers of new customer contacts forged.
110 exhibitors from 12 countries occupying 3,000 square metres of net floor space displayed the latest innovations, trends and solutions in the fields of shopfitting, store furnishing, sales promotion, P.O.S. materials and retail technology. Around 12,500 trade visitors came to take in the broad offerings of exhibitors from Russia and elsewhere.
"For our first trade fair appearance in Russia we made unexpectedly good contacts, so we are very satisfied,” confirmed Mr. Sigelski of CORAK, France (multimedia systems).
"After only two days we had more than 100 new customer contacts on our enlarged stand, more than last year's figure, including a number of promising talks with buyers from international chains. Our stand strategy was a complete success. SHOP DESIGN RUSSIA again proved to be our most important trade fair,” said Mrs Nelli Witt of Greyfort - ALL FOR SUPERMARKET, Russia.
"We experienced increasing interest in our overall range and had numerous as well as knowledgeable buyers at our stand. Our assessment of the fair is one hundred percent positive, and that's not just because we won the SUPER STAR RUSSIA for best technical realisation with our POS-MOVIE!”
Heinz Renzel of VKF Renzel, Germany (applied sales promotion)
"Thanks to SHOP DESIGN RUSSIA we have stabilised our position on the Russian market. Following our second appearance at the fair our sales organisation in Russia is clearly structured. We were again able to introduce a large number of new customers to our products,” said a satisfied Raymond Wolsey of Otto Kind AG, Germany (steel shopfitting systems, industrial furnishings).
"The expectations we had for our first trade fair appearance with high-end store equipment were more than fulfilled. We never dreamed we would generate so much interest,” said Mr. Utochkin (Russian office) of VISPLAY (Germany).
The highpoint of the ancillary programme for SHOP DESIGN RUSSIA was the first ever staging of SUPER STAR RUSSIA for the best P.O.S. displays. Twenty firms had entered 58 products for various long-term and short-term display applications. The show was organised by display-Verlag Hamburg and the newly formed offshoot POPAI RUSSIA in cooperation with Messe Düsseldorf Moscow and EXPO-PARK. The verdict of the manufacturer representatives, managers of global brands and the international jury on the displays was extremely positive.
Synergies were created by the simultaneous staging of WORLD FOOD and BUY BRAND (franchising fair), offering visitors a broad cross-industry forum. Many exhibitors praised the high percentage of top-level decision-makers from the emerging retail scene not only in Moscow and St. Petersburg but also from the main regions of Russia and the CIS states.
During SHOP DESIGN RUSSIA 2004, EuroShop advisory board chairman Prof. Dr. Bernd Hallier announced that the Russian Federation will be represented by
10 exhibiting firms taking 800 m2 net space at EuroShop 2005 in Düsseldorf from 19 to 23 February 2005, which will be an unexpected record. In addition, around 1,000 trade visitors from the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the CIS states are expected at the world's leading capital goods fair for the retail and related sectors.
On the eve of EuroShop on 18 February 2005, the EHI retail network will be holding a workshop on current developments in retail in Eastern Europe. More information will be available from the beginning of November at www.ehi.org.
Euroshop 2005 will open the doors of Halls 3-17 (excluding Hall 8) of Messe Düsseldorf to welcome trade visitors daily from Saturday, 19 February to Wednesday, 23 February between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm. One-day tickets are available for EUR 28, two-day tickets for EUR 45 and five-day tickets for EUR 90. Students and trainees pay EUR 10. Holders of admission tickets are entitled to travel for free to the fair and back on public transport within the fare zones of the Rhine-Ruhr and Rhine-Sieg Regional Transport Networks (VRR and VRS).
