Polyflor expands Polysafe PUR offering

Polysafe Wood FX, Wood FX Acoustic and Vogue Ultra are the latest vinyl safety floor products to incorporate Polyflor’s super strength polyurethane reinforcement (PUR).

Polysafe PUR is a UV cured and cross-linked super strength reinforcement that offers advanced maintenance benefits, optimum appearance and colour retention along with improved soil release.

The enhanced range of Vogue Ultra PUR also features four attractive new colours. Whirlpool, Galactic, Toffee and Snowstorm increase the choice of shades to 16 while two darker wood effect finishes, Mahogany and Brazilian Walnut, have been added to Polyflor Wood FX PUR.

“Our Polysafe PUR technology is so good in terms of enhanced cleanability that we re-launched three class leading safety products earlier this year with PUR and they have been hugely popular with customers and end users,” explains Polyflor marketing manager, Simon James.

“Now we are again leading the market by offering superb maintenance benefits and improved appearance retention across even more of our safety flooring portfolio, which now also boasts a better choice of colours and surface finishes.”

The incorporation of this cutting edge Polysafe PUR technology means that life cycle maintenance cost savings of up to 60% are achievable over a 15 year period when compared to untreated safety flooring using a micro mop maintenance regime.

All three products achieve the highest possible BRE Global Environmental A+ Rating in major use areas such as education and healthcare (Certificate No: ENP 336 & 415).

Polysafe Wood FX Acoustic PUR is perfect for sound sensitive applications and is able to offer an impact sound reduction of at least 19dB, surpassing the 17dB Building Regulation Part E criteria, thanks to a specially designed close-cell foam layer.

As with all Polysafe products, new Polysafe Wood FX PUR, Wood FX Acoustic PUR and Vogue Ultra PUR fully comply with HSE and UK Slip Group Guidelines to give sustainable slip resistance throughout their guaranteed life, achieving 36+ on the Pendulum wet test (Slider 96/Four S rubber) with a surface roughness of 20 microns and above. Both ranges also adhere to EN 13845 – the European standard for safety flooring.
