Presenting food in an appetising manner – not a problem with the innovative lighting concepts from OSRAM. In supermarkets and delicatessen, the light of highpower LEDs renders foodstuffs in their natural colours and provides a costeffective option for cooling cabinets. The modern T5 fluorescent lamps from OSRAM are an energy-saving alternative here.

LED modules from OSRAM such as the BACKlight, LINEARlight Colormix or DRAGONeye have remarkable advantages: they are particularly powerful, yet require little energy. With a life of up to 100,000 hours, they are also extremely shatterproof and do not emit infrared or UV light – ideal for the illumination of foodstuffs. The presentation of fruit, vegetables and other perishible fresh produce is optimised, while coloured LEDs guarantee a highly natural rendering of its colours.

First supermarket with complete LED lighting
The consumer and supermarket Migros in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen has long since been convinced by the innovative lighting solutions from OSRAM. For the first time, around 18,000 Golden Dragon LEDs will provide the entire shop lighting here. In cooling cabinets and freezer units, the LEDs prove a particularly worthwhile option: the light sources emit little heat, thus reducing the energy required for cooling. The low ambient temperature also extends the life of the LEDs quite considerably. Furthermore, the light emitting diodes have small dimensions and thus can be discreetly installed in doors, frames or other counter components.

Economical and innovative: the slimline LUMILUX T5 HO CONSTANT
A further top product for the illumination of cooling cabinets: the new LUMILUX T5 HO CONSTANT from OSRAM. It is the first fluorescent lamp to ensure efficient operation even in low ambient temperatures of up to -10 degrees Celsius – in such temperatures, the luminous flux of conventional fluorescent lamps reduces by more than 50 per cent. The LUMILUX T5 HO CONSTANT thus brings more light into each cabinet. The number of lamps can be reduced, resulting in lower energy costs.
