rational:
the context for experience design has become extremely diverse. the
technological approach has in the last few years placed increasing emphasis
on ecological aspects like durability and enviroment. also relevant
is the fact that the life cycle of projects has been considerably shortened
due to the influence of trends and fashion. designers will have to pay
more heed to social-cultural aspects. working in international contexts,
with increasing globalisation and mobility will challenge designers to
give expression to ‘local’ values whilst retaining variation, flexibility and
peace in an increasingly urban society.
