Allocation of stand space begins
All the signs herald a successful EuroShop 2008: Levels of interest in the world’s No. 1 capital goods trade fair for the retail industry and its partners are high. Nine months before EuroShop opens its doors in Düsseldorf between 23 and 27 February 2008, 1.035 exhibitors from 43 countries have already booked a total floor space of over 82,000 square metres. That’s some 180 exhibitors more than recorded in the same period before the previous event. At present, 62 percent of space has been reserved by international companies, which reconfirms the trend at the previous staging of the fair towards increasing international participation. In 2008, for the first time, exhibitors from Egypt and Lebanon, for instance, will be represented at EuroShop.
After the official closing date for registrations at the beginning of May, the allocation of stand space has begun. Overall, the trade fair organisers anticipate 1,600 exhibitors from over 50 nations will take the floor in February 2008. Spread across a net exhibition area of 95,000 square metres, they will showcase the latest products, innovative solutions and future trends for the retail industry. More than 90,000 trade visitors from all five continents are expected to attend the event in Düsseldorf. All this makes EuroShop the industry highlight for the world of international retail.
Running the gamut from decision makers in food and non-food retail, the consumer and capital goods industries, wholesale, the trades and chain gastronomy, through architects, interior decorators and visual marketing designers to trade fair professionals and advertising experts, EuroShop trade visitors will in 2008 once again enjoy multiple benefits during their visit to a single fair. Top-notch congresses such as the EuroShop Retail Design Conference (formerly the “Architects’ and Designers’ Congress”), hands-on forums and interesting workshops will round out the premier event in 15 halls.
