Eastman Chemical Company will showcase a range of innovative materials for creating attention-grabbing point-of-purchase displays, shelving systems and store fixtures solutions in Hall 10, Booth# E63 at EuroShop 2008, February 23-27, Messe Düsseldorf, Germany. These visual merchandising advances include Eastman Spectar and Spectar Frost copolyesters, which provide brand owners, designers, fabricators and retailers with increased design flexibility and durability.
Spectar is Eastman’s premier product for creating long-lasting, sustainable and versatile retail fixtures, shelving systems and displays. The striking clarity of the material lends a premium appearance, while its ease of fabrication allows designers to create intricate yet functional designs that attract customers.
Manufactured with a concern for the environment, Spectar copolyester is halogen-free. The product’s inherent strength also enables down-gauging, allowing fabricators to use less material compared to other plastics, such as acrylic, and extend the life cycle of their shelving systems. In addition, due to the material’s durability, displays and fixtures last longer, thereby reducing replacement needs and the consumption of plastics.
Spectar™ Frost, the newest addition to the Spectar™ product line, incorporates a unique finish technology that delivers sheet with a high-end, matte appearance, providing designers with the freedom to create stand-out fixtures, shelving systems and displays. Thanks to its light-diffusing properties, sheet made with Spectar Frost can be used for a range of retail lighting applications, including illuminated signage, light boxes and decorative light diffusers.
“Spectar and Spectar Frost offer a unique combination of properties that can inspire designers, retailers and brand owners to create truly innovative retail settings,” says Michael Hartmann, global marketing manager, visual merchandising, Eastman. “These materials are examples of our commitment to meeting the industry’s need for eye-catching displays, shelving and fixtures that can communicate key brand messaging and drive sales.”
Also during EuroShop, Michael Hartmann will present “Material Innovations in Retail” at 2.30pm on Saturday, February 23. The presentation will centre on how retail outlets – ranging from high-end luxury shops to local banks – can utilize new material technologies to create a differentiated retail environment that stimulates, inspires and connects with consumers
