The Alien 05 is an elegant new recessed color changer from Martin Professional, which opens up new design possibilities in retail and themed environment illumination thanks to a stylish design and interchangeable color possibilities.
Compact yet powerful, the Alien 05 is made of strong diecasted aluminium and offers eight interchangeable dichroic color positions plus open white. Color changes can occur slowly and smoothly, fading from one shade to the text, or lightning fast, snapping between colors.
The Alien 05’s adjustable spherical head can be angled and swiveled in any position. It can be used as either a recessed ceiling fixture, or be positioned in a wall as an uplight, downlight and sidelight. The beam angle is 55-degrees and a special long life MR-16 lamp (3000 hours) is included. The Alien 05 is also electrically dimmable using an appropriate transformer.
Operation
Color and intensity can be controlled for various color presets. Color sequences are also controllable. With the Alien multi-driver unit it is possible to connect a total of up to 24 Aliens on 6 independent driver outputs. A standard network cable using RJ-45 connectors can be used for easy daisy chaining of multiple units.
Three different control options
Dipswitch: In the simplest control option it it possible to select a predefined color change from a setting of the dipswitch. Dedicated operator panel: The dedicated operator panel, Oracle 05, ensures intuitive programming and playback. The easy to read LCD display gives an informative description of the various options. DMX control: The Alien multi-driver can be controlled via any DMX controller. The Alien 05 can also operate as a stand-alone unit.
