The 55th Machinery Industrial Design Award IDEA – Award Ceremony Held

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, the award ceremony for the 55th Machinery Industrial Design Award IDEA was held at the Keidanren Kaikan in Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.


At this ceremony, TAKAYA Corporation’s product, the APT-2600FD (Dual-Side Flying Probe Tester), received the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun 110th Anniversary Commemorative Award.


This year, a total of 37 entries from 34 companies nationwide were submitted, of which 19 products were selected for awards. The APT-2600FD was highly praised as a next-generation model that combines a proprietary structure enabling simultaneous inspection of both sides with industry-leading inspection speed and accuracy.


During the ceremony, members of the judging committee commented that “the design philosophy successfully balances inspection efficiency and reliability,” highlighting the broad recognition of our technological expertise and product design capabilities.


This award is the result of the dedicated efforts of every employee involved in the product’s development. It was also made possible through the continued support and cooperation of our customers and partners, as well as the valuable contributions of the judges. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all those involved.

About the Machinery Industrial Design Award IDEA


The Machinery Industrial Design Award IDEA was established in 1970 by Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun with the aim of promoting and advancing design excellence in Japanese industrial products. The award evaluates not only product functionality and appearance, but also market potential, social impact, and safety from a comprehensive perspective. The judging committee consists of experts from relevant government ministries, universities, and industrial organizations. The award marks its 55th edition this year.
