What is an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)?

In simple terms, an EPD is like an official “nutrition label” for a product’s impact on the planet. It is a detailed, independently-verified report that lays out all the facts: from the raw materials used, to the energy consumed during manufacturing, and its overall carbon footprint. Crucially, an EPD isn’t just a claim a company makes about itself; it must be checked and confirmed by an independent, third-party expert to ensure it is completely truthful.
