Effortless usability and smart innovation – CAREL’s food service offering

Brugine, 29 January 2026 – At Euroshop 2026, CAREL will be bringing an approach to innovation in the food service industry centred around effortless usability, representing a tangible reduction in technological complexity that benefits manufacturers, installers and end users . This is expressed through CAREL’s smart innovation proposal, in which control electronics, design, and digital services all work seamlessly together.

At the show, CAREL will be presenting the evolution of the iJ control platform for the management of plug-in units in the food service sector, with specific focus on the new XL-format interface. This large display, available in various configurations and orientations, improves the readability of operating information, allowing the unit’s operating status to be identified at a glance. The result is more immediate interaction, less errors and faster interventions.

Effortless usability also extends to installation, commissioning, and maintenance through the Applica and Controlla apps, designed to support technical personnel and end users respectively. Guided configuration, user profiling, parameter import and export, and real-time data display help standardise operations, easily replicate set-ups, and ensure service continuity.

A central role is played by VCC technology, included as standard on the iJ range controllers, providing continuous control of compressor capacity based on actual operating conditions. This approach ensures more precise temperature management, greater system stability, and lower energy consumption and noise , with tangible benefits for both manufacturers and users.
