CO₂ supermarket case study (France): up to 19% energy savings measured

A supermarket in Angresse, France operates a CO₂ refrigeration system covering both ultra-frozen (–20°C) and medium-temperature (MT) display cases. After deploying Gradhoc Smart Optimiser, the site achieved a 15% reduction in required compressor capacity and up to 19% energy savings, depending on ambient temperature conditions. The results show how data-driven optimisation can improve energy efficiency while maintaining food safety and temperature stability.

Key results

  • 15% reduction in required compressor capacity
  • Up to 19% reduction in energy consumption (peak observed at around 15°C ambient temperature)
  • Applicable to mixed ultra-frozen and MT supermarket installations
