The pop-art maestro Udo Schöbel has not only taken the TV world by storm with his garish commercials, he also side-lines in celebrity portrait-painting. So successful are his works that household names such as film star Nora Tschirna, punk-rock icon Nina Hagen and Fantastische Vier singer Smudo are queuing up to buy them. At his exhibition entitled “SEITEN WECHSEL“ (SWITCHING SIDES) in Stuttgart, the interdisciplinary media expert chose netvico’s very contemporary digital pillar to bring his effective comic world to life.
Whether it is animated films flickering across the screen in the Kurt Krümer Show, the musical rabbit KiKANiNCHEN entertaining kids on the TV channel KI.KA or the portraits given to the “Frag doch mal die Maus” (Why not ask the mouse) winners on Eckart von Hirschhausen’s Saturday night prime-time TV show, Udo Schöbel is the man behind it all. The Stuttgart-born all-rounder, now living in Berlin, provides all the ingredients himself: design, animation and even the music. Bringing together the pop-comic artist’s fast-pace world and netvico’s digital signage solutions has created the perfect symbiosis and is the reason why the digital pillar system was chosen to show video clips of Schnöbel’s cartoon character Karl Anton at his SEITEN WECHSEL exhibition. The result: a multi-media eye-catcher for art lovers visiting the “Schacher – Raum für Kunst” gallery at the Galerienhaus in Stuttgart.
netvico’s digital pillar system can be used to display a multitude of information ranging from entertainment in waiting rooms and additional purchasing incentives for shoppers to conference room signs, visitors greetings, directions as well as corporate and staff communications. The clear advantages of digital signage lie not only in the swift updatability and interchangeability of its content but also in its emotional appeal and the greater attention factor achieved through its moving images. The content and appearance chosen for each digital signage solution are always tailored specifically to the corporate design of the customer. All touch-screen and non-touch-screen pillars are operated using netvico’s versatile »PlayEverywhere« software technology.
