Tyco presents intelligent Store Performance Solutions at the EuroShop 2014
Ratingen, 16 February 2014 – “Recognize.Analyze.Optimize.” Under this trade fair motto, Tyco Integrated Fire & Security is showcasing its Tyco Retail Solutions at the EuroShop 2014 in Düsseldorf from 16 to 20 February 2014, that is, intelligent Store Performance and Security Solutions for optimized branch processes, inventory transparency and orientation towards Omni Channel trading concepts. Tyco’s trade fair presentation will focus on comprehensive solutions in the areas of Loss Prevention, Traffic Intelligence, Inventory Intelligence and Safety & Security. Tyco thus helps retailers to improve security, process efficiency and cost efficiency in their branches on a permanent basis along the entire value chain.
“For some time now, merchandise security and store safety have no longer been the only consideration, but the optimization of processes has also become a vital issue”, explains Werner Kühn, General Manager of Tyco Fire & Security Holding Germany GmbH. “With the help of in-depth information, retailers can bring more transparency and efficiency into the specific processes of their stores and thus keep a closer watch on profitability. As a partner, we help our customers by providing important prerequisites today for the trade of tomorrow with our comprehensive Tyco Retail Solutions.” In this context, the Tyco specialists are offering information at their stand at the EuroShop 2014 on how and where the intelligent Store Performance Solutions (SPS) from Tyco can optimize processes at the point of sale. In this trade fair presentation, highlights and novelties such as the following will take centre stage:
// TrueVUE – a highly integrative Store Intelligence Platform, which combines security and retail solutions in a single application and provides retailers with vital information for action and decision-making, based on real-time data relating to inventory, employees, customers and branches. Apart from Traffic Intelligence options such as route analyses and queue management via footfall measurement, new features in the area of Inventory Intelligence offer more added value to improve efficiency in retail stores.
For example, TrueVUE Inventory Display Execution is an RFID-based application which simplifies counting merchandise on the sales floor and ensures more efficient inventory management. As a result, retailers benefit from more transparency, accuracy and availability of their inventory at each branch. Moreover, the Managed Service Platform TrueVUE also offers all the benefits of TrueVUE solutions in the form of a Software as a Service (SaaS-) package via cloud application.
// Concerning ITEM Level Intelligence, RFID-based solutions to optimize inventory analysis will be another main topic at the Tyco stand, and so will be the advantages achieved by integrating radio frequency identification (RFID) into the acousto-magnetic anti-theft system. In this way, retailers can use real-time inventory surveillance to permanently improve the operational efficiency and profitability of their branches in addition to anti-theft protection.
// New security tag for Loss Prevention: This innovative, extremely flat security tag weighing less than 5 grams for sensitive goods is just one of the novelties with which Tyco is extending its portfolio of Electronic Article Security systems (EAS) by adding hard and soft tags and matching antenna systems.
// Victor and VSaaS for video surveillance of branches – Tyco is also demonstrating a wide range of future-oriented video technologies and services for the retail trade: from Illustra IP video cameras and video surveillance as a service (VSaaS) to the intelligent Victor video management platform. This high-performance video management system pools the information from various camera and security systems and integrates it into an all-encompassing user platform.
