Duesseldorf, February 2011 – SLIDE, the Italian manufacturer of home lighting accessories and furniture in polyethylene, is going to be at Duesseldorf between February 26th and March 02nd when it will take part at the most important fair dedicated to the retail field, in order to present its 2011 collection with new creations: products reserved for interiors and retail.

SLIDE products, created using polyethylene by the rotational moulding system, are totally recyclable. Resistant and light they are useful for indoor and outdoor use. All the enlightened production is available also with LED system that allows the best energy conservation. SLIDE shows its new catalogue of products enriched by an innovative lacquering procedure, a process that reinvents the products, making them even more elegant and suitable to meet the needs of the residential market: confirming the concrete intention of the company to propose total furniture signed SLIDE.

SLIDE production, never banal and always astonishing thanks to its clean and detailed design, continues the collaboration with important firms of design, able to express themselves through new typologies of products. Projects born from the collaboration between important Italian and international designers, between them: Karim Rashid, Paola Navone, Marcel Wanders and new interesting and emerged ones.

After the great success obtained with the installation at LED Festival 2010 in Milan, we present in absolute preview DNA, product born from the collaboration with the high creative mind designer Karim Rashid: the new modular suspension lamp, entirely illuminated with LED technology, which permits to create an interlacement of lights and colours, a macroscopic and modern reconstruction of the DNA spiral structure. Moreover, Rashid will be certainly on of the protagonist of the Parisian appointment, with four new proposals that revisit the traditional shape of the chair with his characteristic style. Blos, the sinuous armchair, is a new version of the classic rocking chair, it can be couple with Blossy, the sofa characterized by soft and feminine shapes; the ergonomic stool Koncord with futuristic and slim lines, winner of the prestigious GOOD DESIGN Award 2009, and Rap, the enveloping two-place sofa, is the unconventional answer to a stylish sitting room. Other products of SLIDE are Low Lita and Low Lita Love, the chairs born from Paola Navone creativity, suitable for open spaces and living environments, now accompanied by the new chaise longue version Low Lita Lounge, practical and easy to use, with a slightly curved profile of the base that makes it particularly inviting and comfortable. Chubby Side Table, designed for SLIDE by Marcel Wanders, which suggest the public a modern coffee table, repurposing the sinuous shapes of Chubby armchair, to complete the products line of the Dutch designer.

The new SLIDE products don’t end here: the new modern chair Q4, designed by Jorge Najera, inspired to the classic garden sitting; that with Prince, designed by Anki Gneib, the new glass table of SLIDE collection creates a winning couple, characterized by strong expressiveness; Peak, the eccentric enlightened table with a circular tempered crystal, designed by Aksu and Suardi, which furnish cheerfully all the spaces, available in two versions, which can be linked with high stools or traditional chairs. Then Break Bar and Ice Bar, the new modular and enlightened bar counters, versatile and innovative, characterized by resistance and strong scenographic impact, adaptable to every kind of exterior set up; Moon, designed by Alain Hadife, a half-moon shaped modular sitting to illuminate every space with a touch of originality.

Cono, is the new lamp for indoors and outdoors with two different dimensions. Always used as floor lamp, we will present the new version of Alì Baba Piantana with a larger diameter and with a total 200 cm height, in order not to looks shabby in big spaces. Mr. Giò, the sculpture-ladder born from Giò Colonna Romano creativity, is presented here in the new version Mr. Giò Specchio, ideal to give a pop touch to the spaces thank to its unusual and funny shape; then Pixel, designed by Studio Tonino, the other new mirror of SLIDE collection which remind us a videogame world, and finally Malbec, project by Harari, is a funny wine container, it can be used also as stand, and it can contain 25 wine bottles.

EUROSHOP will be for SLIDE a new window of absolute importance in the European and Worldwide survey, a fundamental occasion to meet architects designer and big purchasers. Also at the most important worldwide fair dedicated to the retail field, SLIDE is again illustrating its success story at the most important professional contract fair; a story that has never stumbled in the world of industrial production, by considering design and research as core values and applying them to guarantee the quality and excellence of all its vast collection.
