Total sales revenues have exceeded EUR 1 billion since IPO in 1998

In a corporate history exceeding 30 years, the Hoeft & Wessel Group has delivered well over 250,000 mobile data capture/processing terminals and nearly 100,000 ticket vending machines and car park ticket terminals. In particular, Hoeft & Wessel´s proven expertise in the auto-ID, ticketing and parking sectors bears testimony to this achievement. The technology company developed several successful product ranges such as the mobile terminal for train conductors.
Since its IPO in 1998, the sum of sales revenues of the Hoeft & Wessel Group exceeded the EUR 1 billion mark in fiscal 2010. Over the past 12 years, Hoeft & Wessel has developed into a medium-sized technology company that plans to continue recording dynamic growth in future by extending its international activities.
The product portfolio of the leading IT hardware and software specialist for ticketing, parking and mobile solutions in Germany and the United Kingdom corresponds to international trends towards widespread automation, networking and urbanisation. To be able to make sizeable gains from the growth in demand, Hoeft & Wessel pursues regarding the commenced internationalisation an opening up of new markets in a targeted fashion.
Business operations of the group of companies are concentrated in Europe with its two home markets, Germany and the United Kingdom. In addition to Europe, the United States also play a major role. However, regions like South America, Asia, Africa or Australia are likewise expected to gain increasing importance in future. Together with sales specialists and local partners, the Hoeft & Wessel Group aims further to extend its international operations and thus generate additional sales revenue growth. The products and systems of the group of companies are already deployed in more than 30 countries.
Many customers have traditionally been relying on Hoeft & Wessel solutions for a long time. These include large-scale, complex installations such as the ticketing system in Scotland´s fleet of buses, the order placed by Swiss Post for mobile devices or the comprehensive service for the ticket vending system of London Bus and the ticket vending machines supplied to German Rail. Hoeft & Wessel´s global service already accounts for more than 25 per cent of total sales revenues today. When placing follow-up orders, internationally renowned groups have opted for Hoeft & Wessel again. This high level of consistency along with the immense product reliability contribute towards boosting customer confidence and also play a pivotal role in the acquisition of new customers.
Hoeft & Wessel is scheduled to publish its fiscal 2010 figures on 29 March 2011.
