HP to showcase latest Retail Solutions at EuroShop 2011

GENEVA, Switzerland, 24 February, 2011 – HP today announced it will be showcasing its full range of retail solutions at EuroShop 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany from 26 February – 2 March at booth 6I15 in Hall 6. The exhibition is the company’s first public demonstration of its full retail solutions portfolio in Europe, including Point of Sale (POS) and digital signage systems.
HP will be joined on the stand by key ISV partners including GK Software, Retalix, Scala, Torex, YCD as well as by distributors Jarltech and Ingram. In conjunction with these distributors, HP will be actively targeting new channel partners and demonstrating how its flexible solutions can enable retailers to create compelling in-store experiences. Amongst the solutions on show is the newly updated HP ap5000 POS system which will be showcased at the booth.
The additional flexibility in the ap5000 system will now enable retailers to order the solution with a customer-facing display, drive, memory and operating system options. In addition, the new HP ap5000 Wall Mount Kit will allow it to be converted into a wall-mounted Point of Sale, interactive display or customer self-service system.

Other solutions on the HP Stand at EuroShop include the omni-directional HP 1D and 2D barcode scanners that decode barcodes on mobile devices and the new HP Imaging Barcode Scanner, which features a camera-mode to capture labels or signatures. HP will also be demonstrating its all-in-one HP SignagePlayer MP8000r solution with Scala, a solution developed to make it simple and easy for businesses to deploy full-featured digital signage at a single location or across a small network.
