Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, scientific director of the "Top 100" award and professor for entrepreneurship and innovations at teh Vienna University of Economics and Business ephasizes that especially for medium-sized businesses innovations are the primary succes factor. In order to realize them it takes creativity, flexibility and the ability for quick execution. Medium-sized businesses that focus their strategy and organisation strictly on the goal of innovation have essential advantages compared to big corporations, which often lack of flexibility.
