Bizerba focuses worldwide partnerships and will present new counter concepts at the EuroShop 2011: the modular PC scales/till "K-class flex" and software from the company YeahPoint enable queues to be statistically evaluated and the deployment of staff to be optimally planned. Electronic counter labels help through fast price changing by radio with the flexible sale of stocks of fresh goods. Furthermore, cross-selling is also now possible with the SC II: Bizerba has fitted the classic in its product range with a display. In a further cooperation with HS-Soft, individual tills and computing concepts can be developed for bakeries.
Boring queuing is a thing of the past
The customer retrieves a receipt with a number from an external printer and thus enters into a digital queue. Until his number appears on the display of the scales, he can use the waiting time to make further purchases nearby. "The software from YeahPoint records precisely how many people have taken a number and when and how long you have to wait to be served on average. This data allows targeted conclusions to be made concerning personnel planning“, explains Tudor Andronic, Director of Global Retail Solutions at Bizerba. In Germany, the system of taking a number, unlike in Italy, for example, is the exception to date. In the course of the new partner solution, Bizerba has also made the concept interesting for German food retailers.
Electronic counter labels: change prices just before closing time in a uniform way
Electronic shelf labels from the company MariSense enable prices to be quickly adapted to the current stock. If the retailer has too many fresh goods left just before closing time, the goods can be quickly sold off at a special price and the new prices transmitted to the labels by radio. The labels use so-called e-paper technology: the prices are thus easy to read independent of viewing angle, even in the case of strong sunlight.
Cross-selling now on SCII scales
Cross-selling via scales displays is an effective sales driver at the point of sale. Bizerba has proved this with test installations across Europe. Therefore, the company has now equipped the classic scales from the SCII generation with a seven inch display on the customer side. Thus, food retailers can operate cross-selling using this traditionally tried and tested scales-serie by incorporating multimedia advertising slogans on the displays during and between the sale. The contents can be maintained and managed locally using the RetailImpact software, but can also be transferred on-site via a USB stick.
Other partnerships at the EuroShop 2011
Furthermore, Bizerba will present the "K-class" PC scales with the MPOS partner software from the Wincor Nixdorfauf company at the EuroShop 2011 from 26.02-02.03. Similarly, the modular "K-class flex" will be presented with software from HS-Soft. The latter combination enables individual till and computing concepts to be developed particularly for bakeries.
