Automatia to order CINEO cash recycling systems from Wincor Nixdorf

Automatia Pankkiautomaatit Oy, Finland’s largest ATM network operator that provides cash-withdrawal service to nearly all Finnish bank customers, is broadening the scope of its automated self-service solutions to coin and banknote deposits by rolling out cash recycling systems with coin processing modules from Wincor Nixdorf. Following an in-depth evaluation of solutions available in the market, Automatia opted for Wincor Nixdorf’s CINEO cash recycling systems and multivendor software. Wincor Nixdorf will also provide maintenance for the solution.

Automatia will initially install the solution at 20 locations, with a full-scale rollout slated for 2013 and 2014. By installing cash recycling systems, the company aims to further reduce the costs and labor involved in handling cash for its bank customers.

Cash recycling systems significantly shorten the cash cycle by making deposited banknotes available for dispensing after their validation. In so doing, the systems reduce the number of times ATMs need to be replenished. An integrated coin-deposit module eliminates the time-consuming task of manual coin handling.

Established in 1994, Automatia Pankkiautomaatit Oy is owned by Nordea Bank Finland, OP-Pohjola and Sampo Bank. Automatia provides cash withdrawal services to nearly all bank customers in Finland via its network of 1,650 ATMs
