The Jegab Display GmbH has been offering display systems for 34 years. We talked to CEO Silke Ruland about the significance of analog solutions and a personal customer approach in the Digitized World.
Silke Ruland is CEO of Jegab Display GmbH
What do you think is important when it comes to fastening systems for retail display fixtures?
Since there is a great number of different available options to set up fastening systems, this also comes down to a question of need and taste. Having said that, the systems primarily need to be robust and easy to use, allowing even untrained employees to use them.
Everything is becoming more digital – even in the retail landscape. In your opinion, do analog signs and displays still offer an advantage in this day and age?
The advantage of analog systems is that they are nearly maintenance-free and more economical in the long run. Retailers are able to use these products again. By now, there are adhesive products that feature an adhesive that holds well but that is also easily removable without causing any damages to shelving units.
Online retail is also growing in your industry sector. How do you bridge the gap between e-commerce and a personal customer approach?
We bridge the gap by elevating the practical possibilities offered by the online store with a personal customer approach. We think it is crucial to be able to assist customers on a case-by-case basis. Even though we may offer relatively simple products, we keep noticing that they are being improperly installed. A one-on-one conversation can quickly answer any questions in this instance.
