Bottomline Interactive came out on top in the Digital Media in Retail category at the 2013 POPAI Awards taking home a Gold for our work on the Smirnoff Holographic Mixology interactive display.
We got consumers interacting with a brand like Smirnoff in a whole new way by allowing them to design their own molecular cocktails by simply selecting a few key ingredients from a wide range that even included things like liquid nitrogen and jelly beans.
Best of all, they did this at the touch of... well... nothing thanks to our Kinect driven gesture based system. After slicing and dicing their selected fruits, consumers even received a printout of their unique recipe which is mixed right then and there for them by professional molecular mixologist barmen.
Consumers got to do all this with a massive 55'' Hologram built to be easily transported to events across the country.
The POPAI SA Awards recognises excellence in point-of-purchase advertising displays and in-store communication activity produced and placed in South Africa.
