Brand under new management with showrooms in Stuttgart and Istanbul – premieres at EuroshopBehind the brand is Burkhardt Leitner Modular Space GmbH, launched in 2016 under the management of designer, exhibition builder and university lecturer Akin Nalça together with company partner Alp Gümüs, MBA Industrial engineer. The team will follow the legacy of the designer and company founder Burkhardt Leitner, sharing the same company philosophy whilst bringing new impetus to the brand. The company headquarters are located in Istanbul with a showroom in Stuttgart.
Akin Nalça acted as licensed business partner for the original company, Burkhardt Leitner constructiv, for over two decades in both Turkey and a number of Middle Eastern countries. During this period he forged close personal ties both with Burkhardt Leitner himself and also with the Stuttgart region. Nalça thus describes his close relationship to the company founder: “Many years of close cooperation with Burkhardt Leitner enabled us to really get to know the company culture and we will continue running operations from our Istanbul and Stuttgart offices.”
The burkhardt leitner brand will exhibit at Euroshop 2017 complete with a new corporate design and extensions as well as innovations to its systems product range in Hall 5, Stand A21.
Under the auspices of Messe Düsseldorf the lifetime achievements of designer Burkhardt Leitner will also be recognized in a special exhibition area. Burkhardt Leitner has dedicated 50 years of his life to the development of innovative modular architectural systems, earning himself a permanent place in German design history. A personal and comprehensive tribute entitled “THANK YOU BURKHARDT, Burkhardt Leitners 50 years in design“
will be opened at 2pm on 5th March 2017 by Akin Nalça, Company Director of Burkhardt Leitner Modular Spaces GmbH und Andrej Kupetz, CEO of the German Design Council: Hall 5, Stand G42.Creations featuring light and textiles – new systems, moving images and innovative features
New products include pon media, an addition to the airy and delicate connector / rod system pon which allows the construction of extremely expansive freestanding structures. Pon media features a new profile with a more stable cross-section which makes it possible to span textiles in system grooves measuring 2.4 x 2.4 metres either adjacent or at 90-degrees to one another. Profile lighting, shelving and accessories can also be incorporated into the system, which according to Akin Nalça “suits all display and exhibition purposes and presents an excellent one-stop solution thanks to its multi-purpose functionality”.
The pon systems
family now creates the overall impression of being even more spacious and emotive through the use of lighting. Illumination and textiles also play a new role in the classic system pila petite which is being showcased at Euroshop. Innovative flowing structures and moving images have been incorporated to form a contrast against static systems which become almost invisible behind the moving images. Effective presentation and atmospherics shall be the future focus of the improved systems available under the burkhardt leitner brand.
