Customer frequency measurement

Our products

Product category: Retail technology, Customer frequency measurement

Sensor VC-3D

The VC-3D is a robust stereo vision sensor that stands out from the rest due to its versatile fields of application. It ensures economically efficient people counting and customer tracking. The large evaluation range usually renders only one device per tracking point. The new sensor provides high-precision tracking: The counting is bi-directional and can also be operated from an oblique perspective. Up to five counting lines inside and outside the location are possible. Therefore the conversion- and capture-rates can be analysed.

By using UMTS and WLAN, the VC-3D Sensor offers flexible methods for data transmission. The Power over Ethernet technology (PoE) enables installation at points with no power supply.

The Check-out Manager

Planning correctly
The Check-out Manager implements standards for optimising waiting lines. It helps the branch manager responsible for check-out supervision to find the right time to open or close the check-outs. The basis for this forecast comes from parallel customer count measurements in the entrance and check-out areas. This means that long queues can be avoided and any frantic check-out changes can be minimised. Should any bottlenecks appear in the check-out area, standby staff are informed about opening further check-outs by means of pagers.

The capture of data such as queue length, check-out occupation or slack periods is carried out objectively and used to improve processes. These cost savings lead to faster amortisation of the Check-out Manager investment.

Reporting

Seeing, not guessing
The ShopView Chart reporting tool from Vitracom enables a comprehensive, individualised and coordinated display of its extensive database. The special features of its data management are clearly structured user operation and great reliability. Depending on the user level, the self-explanatory interface enables any user to work with the system and filter out the information that is relevant for them.

Visitor numbers, queues, dwell time along with age and gender profiles can all be presented as a graphic display or in tabular form. Locations can be combined with each other as required. It is also no problem at all to integrate external data such as weather, public holidays or vacation dates here.

The data can be stored both in an internal company network (within a management information system) or also in a secure external data hosting system. The data is prepared in the form of a dashboard and provides the management with valuable indications in terms of people counting, conversion rates and average dwell time on an ongoing basis. The ShowView Chart also documents the check-out deployment and waiting times when combined with the Check-out and Queue Manager.

About us

Company details

Vitracom AG develops and distributes video-based visitor frequency measurement equipment. The digital analysis of customer flow measures customer behaviour, making it an essential gauge for determining success at the POS particularly in retail outlets, as well as airports, banks, shopping centres or or areas with public traffic.

Crucial information is delivered to the management of these companies enabling them to strategically control their stores efficiency. Such information includes the “conversionrate” (ratio of purchasing/non-purchasing customers), data to facilitate the efficient deployment of human resources, to optimise product placement and store lay-out so as to increase the customer retention period.
