PRESTIGEenterprise Mobile Browser - Mobile Management of POS communication at print and digital media

Generate posters and screen playlists with mobile devices - it’s easy using your existing mobile data entry device (MDE) or smartphone. Take advantage of the benefits of mobile data entry in the future for poster and labelling needs while you are still in front of the product, which you want to advertise.

Simply scan or manually enter product information with your MDE device or smartphone and then this can either be displayed immediately on the advertising screen or collected later from the back office printer and hung up. Or both. The MobileBrowser makes it possible.

The MobileBrowser module allows you to collect data directly where it is generated. This type of information collection can be carried out both by entering the barcode or via keyboard entry. The data can then either be saved in the device or forwarded online to your web server by wireless LAN/UMTS. By entering a PLU on the scales, a predefined content is activated which is then shown on the customer display as a recommendation for the product being weighed . In turn, the CrossPrinting module enables additional information about the product to be printed out, such as proof of origin, seal of quality and even recipes.

Operator display
Both modules also offer the possibility of turning your sales assistants into competent specialist personnel, as purchase related information abut the product being weighed can be retrieved here at the press of a button. Client Monitoring with PRESTIGEenterprise

Online Software AG presents the new PRESTIGEenterprise 5.2 software version for the first time at EuroShop. PECM - PRESTIGEenterprise Client Monitoring is the catchword for the Spring 2017 release. The collection of all system-relevant data as well as their immediate analysis allows the optimal control of store-overlapping POS promotion systems. From now on all status messages for both ongoing advertisements on screens as well as for all current and planned print jobs will be merged and evaluated in a central location in the PRESTIGEenterprise communications platform. Detailed information, such as what the actual status of the connected systems is in realtime and what effects occurring problem cases have, appear on the the intuitive user interface. In this way the system can identify, for instance, that a paper jam is present in the printer or that the required media for presentation on the screen advertisement is missing.

The data to analyze is prepared via PRESTIGEenterprise Services. This customized interface allows for access to the data and functions of PRESTIGEenterprise that may in turn be presented in your own corporate design. The new Internet platform PRESTIGEsandbox can be used to test the extensive functions of PRESTIGEenterprise Services. This includes a full featured PRESTIGEenterprise installation with complete access to all modules.

Other areas have been further developed to monitor running systems. With the enhancement to ContentAbo functionalities, in addition to images, videos and products, now changes to templates are also automatically updated for running playlists. This automation guarantees a consistent image for your in-store Digital Signage ad scheduling. Not only the consistency is of great significance, but also the timeliness of the advertising media, in order not to, for example, not to violate any licensing rights. The expiry date for content was developed for this purpose. This innovation includes the contol of timely limited content within your ad planning, for example, the application of a customer or a discount campaign. The expiration date can be specified individually for images, videos and Web content. If desired, a user can retrieve a report of duration limits for running content via the system. After expiration of the time limit media are deleted from the scheduling.

Communicate faster at POS with PRESTIGEenterprise Store Messenger

Online Software AG presents new chat functionality for the AppConstructionKit in PRESTIGEenterprise for efficient, internal communications via Smartphone. Online Software has enhanced its PRESTIGEenterprise AppConstructionKit with a new exciting tool, the Employee Chat module. With the Employee Chat module, internal communications can be structured considerably more simply, quickly and efficiently. For example, this makes it possible for a store manager to transmit small tasks, which require immediate attention, via messaging quickly to an employee's smartphone. In addition, in group mode, information can be sent not only to one person but to a group of people. In this way, central marketing employees may use Chat to forward important notices of pending promotions to all stores.

Retail employees are inherently more often on the sales floor than behind desks, so that emails are not the best forms of communication. As well a constantly ringing telephone is  rather a disturbance on the sales floor. A short message that is also displayed on a cell phone‘s screen when it first arrives, may be quickly viewed and immediately acted upon. No matter if a broken pickle jar requires cleaning up, a shampoo bottle needs refilling or a cash register must be newly staffed. Employee Chat always reaches the right person in the shortest time. And this on a medium, the cell phone, which is more than familiar for all employees.

Technically the Dash Button is a typical example of the „Internet of Things“ (IoT), since the button is connected to the Internet – via Wi-Fi. By selecting it an action is triggered.
