HOMAPAL® Holz

Holz - authentic structures and a large selection of colours are the prominent features of the HOMAPAL® Holz collection. Combinations of different décors out of the collection create a pleasingly warm and harmonious impression.

The surfaces of HOMAPAL® Holz laminates consist of reconstituted veneers. All used timber comes from lasting controlled areas of cultivable land. For the production of reconstituted veneers, peeled veneers from poplar, koto and ayous wood are partly dyed, rejoined together in layers and pressed to a block from which the reconstituted veneers are sliced. By putting together different dyed veneers and using special methods of pressing the most popular, even exotic species of timber can be reproduced. Valuable resources are saved this way, without having to give up special and extravagant décors.

Homapal at the Euroshop 2017: Metal and magnetic boards remodelled

It is mainly the real metal coated laminates that are closely linked to the name Homapal. A special embossing technique furnishes the surfaces with different structures and presses them onto a high pressure laminate core. What's more, some of the decors are then finished by hand. The metals thus offer a unique feel and, together with their range of colours and striking gloss, an extraordinary appearance - an unbeatable combination that cannot be imitated. Homapal has reworked its collections in this area for Euroshop 2017 in Düsseldorf.

They are now more harmonious and structured across the collections, thanks to the collaboration with experienced designers. The designers have, above all, refined the colour progressions in the metals and magnets that interplay within the Homapal range. Soft intermediate tones, sometimes differing by just a nuance from kindred colours whilst at the same time remaining unique, complete the overall picture.

Champagne, rosé and gold tones are expressions of the maturing process within the metal surfaces. From cool and businesslike through rustic and warm to elegant and luxurious, the characteristics can be realised with fine differentiations. The new Storck Welt store in the Centro shopping centre in Oberhausen is a good reference point for the latest developments. The confectionery manufacturer sets a great amount of store in detail and high quality materials. "Werther's Original" toffees, for example, are displayed in gold and caramel colours. The decor "471-636 Alu-Polished Lava Goldtone" was given centre stage in this display.

Despite the remodelling of the collection, a large proportion of the metals known and accepted by the market remain available; everything now blends together even more logically and harmoniously to support customers in their selection. The collection comprises a total of 90 different decors which are able to satisfy a wide range of tastes from classic to modern, from design-orientated to handmade.

The laminate manufacturer uses thinly rolled foils of aluminium, copper, brass and stainless steel to produce the laminates. The Homapal metal laminates are fire retardant according to the IMO (International Maritime Organization) and are classified by the testing, inspection and certification body MPA Dresden, Freiberg, as satisfying the DIN EN 13501-1:2010-01 B-s1, d0 classification.

Magnetic boards: the perfect symbioses of functionality and design

The magnetic boards in the Homapal range play in a similar league alongside the real metal coated laminates. Thanks to an iron foil which is embedded in the laminate, not only papers and utensils can be fixed in place, but also heavier magnetic racks or modular system rails and fixtures for shop-fitting displays.

The 2017 collection, remodelled and harmonised by the designers, contains a total of 18 decors. The selection of white tones has been extended in the basic colour range. Orchid, maui, mango yellow and apple green complement the trend colours.

Depending on the surface and decor, the Homapal magnetic boards combine several functions. Alongside the magnetic fixing applications, some are ideal for use as projection surfaces due to their reduced light reflection. Others can be written on with standard board markers, and the writing can be removed again without a trace using a dry cotton or micro-fibre cloth. The school-standard blackboard and green surfaces can be written on with chalk.

The possible applications are virtually unlimited; the Homapal magnetic boards are ideal for anywhere where things are to be flexibly fixed or texts written and then removed again without a trace. As with the metal laminates, the magnetic boards are free of formaldehyde in accordance with DIN EN 717-1 as confirmed by eph Entwicklungs- und Prüflabor Holztechnologie GmbH, Dresden. Both Homapal products can also be supplied with the FSC mix quality mark on request.

Euroshop performance demonstrates the possibilities of individualisation

The special function of being able to write and draw on Homapal magnetic boards with chalk is the focus of a performance during Euroshop. During the trade fair, the chalk artist Marco Kocks will demonstrate how personal affairs of the heart – desire, dreams, intentions, ideas, perceptions, projects – can be "de-pict-ed", thus raising consciousness and having a positive influence on well-being – exactly the same objectives as interior and shop design. The path to "Kreideglück" (chalk happiness) leads through the same stations to uniqueness as Homapal: via listening to and understanding the customer desires, via robust handwork and high-quality materials.

New collection from Homapal: Laminate with leather appearance in IMO quality

Homapal presents a fully revised leather collection at Euroshop. This includes eight typical colours to suit current market trends and three different surfaces that feel soft and authentic. Homapal offers the entire collection in fire retardant IMO quality as standard, i.e. specially suited for ship building in accordance with the International Maritime Organization criteria. The material is ideal for high-quality interior designs.

For the manufacture of these new surfaces, Homapal uses a technically produced imitation leather that is pressed with a permanent embossing onto a high pressure laminate core. The process gives them their typical leather appearance and feel. Embossing plates add the characteristic structures. The finished laminate can be fitted and processed using standard tools.

The advantages of imitation leather are self-evident: it is not just easier to care for and more durable than real leather, but is also less resource intensive and is available in larger sizes. The surfaces can be reproduced as often as necessary and are more UV-resistant (light-fast) than comparable surfaces made of real leather. And, last but not least, far fewer chemicals are used in the production process.

Nature that you can see and feel: With real wood veneers, Homapal creates authentic surfaces

At Euroshop 2017 in Düsseldorf, Homapal demonstrates how the original naturalness of wood can extend its particular charm into modern stores and interior designs. The new stock collection includes ten real wood veneers pressed into laminate, better known on the market as "reconstituted veneer". An order collection of 17 modern veneers compliments the range. The complete veneer range is based on current trends and reflects the broad spectrum of wood tones found in nature.

Homapal uses layered veneers for its exclusive veneer laminates, that is to say natural products with the typical characteristics of wood. Peeled veneers from poplar, koto and ayous wood are partly dyed, rejoined together in layers and pressed to a block to produce these layered veneers. The veneers are then sliced from this block. Homapal then presses these reconstituted veneers into laminates, coats the surface with melamine resin and covers the product with a protective film. The appearance of the veneers deviate only slightly from board to board.

The manufacturing process enables the reproduction of the most popular but also exotic species of wood. This saves valuable resources without having to give up special or extravagant decors. All woods used by Homapal are sourced from sustainably managed cultivable land.

Authentic structures and a large selection of colours are the prominent features of the veneer collection. Combinations of smooth and structured surfaces create pleasingly warm and harmonious impressions. On request, Homapal veneer laminates can be delivered in IMO quality, i.e. specially suited for ship building, in FSC mix quality or in accordance with DIN EN 13501-1:2010-01. The veneer laminates are free of formaldehyde in accordance with DIN EN 717-1 as confirmed by eph Entwicklungs- und Prüflabor Holztechnologie GmbH, Dresden.

Homapal and Formica: Premium laminates from one source

At Euroshop 2017, Homapal announces its affiliation with the Formica group at its 120 square metre stand in hall 10 / F60. The metal and special laminates from Herzberg are the focus of the presentation, but also the fact that the company owns exclusive rights to the sales and marketing of Formica products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. They expand the range with a wide variety of colours, a broad spectrum of veneer decors, the brand new door express collection and the "Infiniti" anti-fingerprint surface. This combined appearance at the global trade fair for shop-fitting places the advantages for customers in focus.

Object planners and shop fitters think holistically. Therefore, the spectrum of surfaces and designs required for individual planning is all the greater. When manufacturers such as Homapal and Formica cooperate closely together, the variety necessary can be met. The products and materials of both manufacturers can be combined together into one order via the central Homapal warehouse in Herzberg. It is often the case, for example, that furniture fronts from Homapal and work surfaces from Formica are needed. The customer receives double the benefits: minimum order quantities are satisfied more quickly and make savings on freight and packaging costs.

The fully coordinated marketing material, such as the overview of the door express collection, also clearly sends the message that Homapal wants to simplify access to the products of both renowned high pressure laminate manufacturers in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland region.

Infinitely good looking: Homapal demonstrates the new anti-fingerprint surface "Infiniti" from Formica at the Euroshop

Clean for longer and an immaculate appearance with little effort. At Euroshop from 5th to 9th March 2017 in Düsseldorf, Homapal will be presenting a highly technical matt surface that satisfies these demands, developed by the Innovation Team of the parent company, Formica, at its stand F60 in hall 10. Its name, "Infiniti" gives a nod towards the high service life that is possible thanks to the innovative manufacturing process and modern resin systems. Homapal customers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland have exclusive access to this product via the Herzberg facility.

"Formica Infiniti" is suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications in heavily frequented areas – in retail stores, in the hotel and restaurant industry and in offices. Walls, doors, bars, reception desks, shelves, desks and other furniture can be individually designed with special decorative effects and striking edging details. The material is incredibly hard wearing and can be thermally treated; its postforming quality enables edges to be finished harmoniously and tightly.

The highly technical surface, the result of a patent-pending hardening process and resin systems of the next generation, is made up of micro-structures that defuse light and ensure an elegant matt finish that feels warm and silky soft. It protects against scratches and abrasion as well as fingerprints, because it dissipates moisture until it evaporates.

The antimicrobial properties of "Formica Infiniti" ensure that touching is also pleasant from a hygienic perspective. In combination with the high resistance to chemicals, the surface is also suitable for use in the health industry, in hospitals, care homes and laboratories.

Alongside the malleable original high pressure laminate "Formica Laminate" (0.7 mm), "Formica Infiniti" is also available in the version as a solid compact board "Formica Compact" (6, 8, 10, 12 mm) or with  the through-dyed colour core as "ColorCore" (1.3) mm. The board dimensions are 3050 x 1300 mm.

"Formica Infiniti" blends harmoniously into every surrounding and plays in harmony with other materials. The collection includes 20 decors; of which 17 are well-known uni colours from the standard collection and three are patterned innovations ("Neo Cloud", "Neo Cyclone" and "Neo Tornado").

The environment in which customers shop today influences purchasing decisions at a subconscious level to a great extent. Surfaces that lend an elegantly stylish and timeless touch to the shop-fitting and keep their charisma over a long time period help to create special surroundings in which people love to linger.

Opening doors to the contract business: Homapal presents the Door Express Collection from Formica at Euroshop

40 decors, four standard door formats and a special delivery service. These are the key facts for the new Formica Door Collection. Homapal, as part of the Formica group armed with exclusive sales and marketing rights in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, thus unlocks a further door to the contract business. The company presents the new collection for the first time at Euroshop 2017 in Düsseldorf.

Homapal wants to supply customers in the door industry with quality quickly and easily in the future. Therefore, the laminate manufacturer holds in stock 40 decors (25 uni colours and 15 woods) in four standard door formats - 2150 x 915 mm, 2150 x 1020 mm, 2150 x 1300 mm and 2350 x 950 mm - at its Herzberg facility.

Customers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are supplied with the Door Express Collection in high-quality Formica high pressure laminates. The surfaces produced in this way are exceptionally hard wearing, durable and hygienic.
