JosDeVries Strategy & Formula develops and realises the total strategic positioning of retail formulas. We do this by means of our "high pressure cooker workshop." As an organisation, your brand and formula continually and increasingly need to adapt to changing consumer demands, but that's no easy matter. How can you know today what clients want tomorrow? Are you flexible enough to respond quickly? Can you sense exactly what your clients want? Not just now, but in the future too?

Our approach focuses on working together to develop a successful vision that makes your formula future proof. The formula funnel


We start this workshop with an exploration of future scenarios: what will be the most important drivers of consumer behaviour in the coming three to five years?

In the second part of the workshop, we assess whether the current retail formula is still relevant to the consumer of tomorrow. To do this, we go through the formula funnel exercise together.

Step by step, we identify new opportunities for the retail formula, evaluating it against relevant developments in terms of consumer behaviour, the market and competitors. 
At the end of the workshop, we summarise the essence of the retail concept in a single sentence and together, we formulate "the trump cards."  This process provides you with tangible anchor points for concept development and for leading internal discussions around formula development.

Customer Journey Workshop


Having completed the formula funnel exercise, the retail proposition forms the starting point for the development of a structured customer journey strategy. In this workshop, we work together to identify the optimal combination and realisation of the shop with other (digital) touchpoints to simplify and enrich your customer journey. 

A great pitfall in this process is that the phenomenon of "any time, any place, anyhow" can cause enormous complexity in the retail revenue model. Particularly now that there are endless possibilities, it is essential to make clear choices in your approach to the customer journey.
