Payment systems, logistics software and eCommerce approaches along with digital and virtual store elements – all of these solutions are able to support processes in companies and provide added benefits to the customer.

The EuroShop "Retail Technology" Dimension reflects these and many other aspects. In the EuroCIS Forum, visitors can also find out how retailers already implement the latest solutions and technologies and will put them into practice in the future.

Together with the SALT Solutions GmbH, the Bike24 GmbH Company presents the subject of "The eCommerce Revolution Starts with AutoStore in the Warehouse".  In addition to process or resource optimizations, new, more flexible solutions assist logistical processes in the automated small parts warehouse. (03/07/2017 - 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM)

Virtual worlds for retail is one of the main themes this year. In a lecture titled "Virtual Promoter- Hybrid Commerce at Saturn", ameria GmbH and Media Saturn GmbH explain how a virtual promoter is used in a pilot project at Saturn.  (03/06/2017 - 2:30 PM - 2:45 PM)

Nothing keeps the retail world engaged more than payment systems. Offering the right solution to customers across all sales channels requires great intuition about demand, location and customer affinity. Special applications also require target-specific implementation, as the integration of Alipay, the largest Chinese online payment system demonstrates at Munich Airport. Together with Wirecard AG, the Flughafen München Handels-GmbH gives an account of this successful endeavor. (03/08/2017 – 11:00 AM -11:30 AM)

The Omnichannel Forum offers a smooth transition to the topics of the EuroCIS Forum. It is all about linking the sales channels. The question is no longer whether retailers need to be presented on all channels, but rather how they need to do it. Finding an elegant way to combine online and offline retail is only possible if software, hardware, and application are harmoniously integrated.

Rico Hänel of Microsoft partner bedav GmbH and Hendrik Wansleben of the Breuninger GmbH explain how Breuninger addressed digitization. (03/06/2017 - 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM)

Things get very practical when dimedis talks about the Bosch Experience Zone – a shop-in-shop project at home improvement stores that is being implemented worldwide. Just one example of the many possibilities digital signage can bring to the sales floor. (03/06/2017 - 12:30 PM -1:00 PM)

What does it look like when online pure players enter uncharted territory by making their way into brick-and-mortar retail? The online optician store Mister Spex from Berlin accomplished just that. Marc Eisenbach of dan pearlman project pinpoints the motivations. (03/09/2017 - 12:30 PM -1:00 PM)

The bottom line is, retailers know that sustainable actions allow them to achieve substantial savings in terms of energy and costs as well as enhance their corporate image in the eyes of their customers and it’s something that cannot be put into numbers. Admittedly, it often is the first step that makes it difficult for them to embark on a responsible journey. After all, sustainability has many facets and countless perspectives.
