Article: Lighting made by Bortly und Econlux
Rising energy costs are a hot topic for many exhibitors on this year's EuroShop. Rüdiger Buchner of Econlux explains more efficient ways of lighting at a joint stand with partner company Bortly.
Buchner is happy to see that the issue is gaining some attention: "Cost reduction by switching over to environmentally-friendly energy saving systems is becoming more and more important - but there is more to gain than just lower costs", explains Buchner. One of Econluxes features on the EuroShop is an office lighting system called PowerSave T5 which can save up to forty percent of energy and therewith also reduce the CO2 output drastically. The product is easy to handle - an adapter simply replaces the conventional bulb fitting.
Buchner elaborates on the fact that a differentiation, when talking about the use of energy saving, is needed. "For some fields of application, likewise large logistics centers with a high demand for illumination, the use of such systems pays off faster than in smaller facilities", says Buchner. It is important to be aware of altering payback periods – these can differ from usage site to usage site. However, the systems by Bortly and Econlux also provide flicker-free lighting conditions and therefore can also optimize the work environment.
Buchner hopes for the trend to continue and that there will be further progress in the field of LED illumination. Interested visitors who wish to rethink their illumination concept are welcome to do so at the Bortly and Econlux stand D54 in hall 11.
